Trick or Treat fun!

Halloween was a big success.  We ended up dressing the older two in the same costume as before but Rowen was a lion instead of the giraffe.  They all looked so cute and Rowen caught on to the Trick or Treat fun pretty quickly.  At first he was unsure and wouldn't say anything or hold his bucket out, then whenever he would go up to someone who had their basket of candy ready to give him some, he would take a piece out of his pumpkin bucket and put it in their basket! haha!  After we explained the concept to him he would hold his bucket up for them, but instead of saying, "Trick or Treat!" he would yell, "Bucket!". :-)  Finally about mid way into the evening he got the hang of it and was doing his best to keep up with his brothers.  Although we had a hard time keeping him from eating the candy as soon as he got it rather than putting it in his bucket an waiting until we got home.  All in all it was a fun evening.  Now I just have to get the chocolate out of this house so I don't eat it all!

Rowen was so funny after he got his very first piece of candy.  He was content just sitting in the street and opening his candy to eat it, he wasn't worried about trick or treating for more. hahaha

There was a large group of kids and parents on a "Hay Ride" with a trailer being pulled by a 4-wheeler.  It was a neat idea but they pretty much cleared out the candy from the houses who just set a bowl of goodies on the front porch.  The kids were kind of rude too so it was a bit annoying.
