Reece had a Tom & Jerry birthday party on his actual birthday this year. It was a small gathering but lots of fun. I made (turkey) bologna and cheese sandwiches shaped like stars for the kids and Cajun turkey and colby cheese sandwiches for the adults, brownie cupcakes (per Reece's request) and we had fruit and pretzels. The cake we got from the bakery was super cute and delicious. I had ordered a really cute cake topper from the internet and they made the cake accordingly. Reece was excited but I think next time I will plan it to be a little earlier. The party was to start at 1:00 p.m. and by that time Reece was already sleepy so he didn't smile as much as I had hoped. Fortunately I was able to get plenty of good pictures and we had another successful birthday party! These are the same pictures I put on Facebook so some of you may have seen them already.
Riley's buddy Charlie from his pre-school class got to come
Charlie
Charlie's brother Max got to come too!
Charlie's mom and my new friend Carlisa
Uncle Brian and Aunt Julia got to come to the party!
Riley and his new best friend Charlie...definitely 2 peas in a pod for sure!
We got Riley and Rowen a little something too so they wouldn't feel left out.
Riley was so excited to be getting something too!
When he saw that it was a dragon he was even MORE excited!
We put the dragon in water to watch it grow
Rowen's dinosaurs in the water
...and Reece got a shy turtle in a shell. If you put him in the water he begins to come out of his shell to say hi.
Reece couldn't understand why it didn't happen immediately. haha
We had a great party and got some video. I'll try to post the video on here later if I can figure out how.
